Overview - Project Overview

The Lane Cove Tunnel Project includes -

eastbound and westbound 3.6km tunnels between the M2 and the Gore Hill Freeway
the addition of two transit lanes on the Gore Hill Freeway between Reserve Road and Brook Street
three new traffic ramps linking Falcon Street and the Warringah Freeway at Neutral Bay
better facilities for pedestrians, cyclists and public transport
two new lanes on the Epping Road bridge over the Lane Cove River.

The benefits include -

quicker travel times between the north-west and the city
a direct link to Sydney's expanding orbital motorway network
reduced traffic on Epping Road/Longueville Road and Mowbray Road West
better facilities for pedestrians and cyclists, including a continuous cycleway from Wicks Road, North Ryde to Naremburn.
